Review (To be edited soon)

-->
I’ve never thought I would be looking forward to the ending to a series as much as this one. This dystopian novel drew me in from the start with it’s believable story of how a world changed by just having a few changes done to food we grow.
This book picks up where the last book took off, where Fi, Asher, Sean and Sarah are getting back to Eden. This time they find out something is wrong and the Truthers are behind it.  I never thought I would hate a bad group of people as much as I do with the Truthers. They cause so much trouble for Fi and the gang that the ending is everything you hope to read. What surprised me the most of the plot was the help they got from lots of people. Not just the normal people they talk to on the walkie talkies but people they’ve never seen before. Plus a man who we first saw in the first book but never thought to see him again. Not to mention a five years later part will leave us all happy for Asher.
Fi has always been strong from Eden’s Root to Seeds of War, but in the newest and last book of this series we see a new side of her. Might be because she’s pregnant, but it doesn’t slow her down.  Until they reach Eden then all hell breaks lose and it looks like Fi is at her weakest point we have ever seen her. She can only think of the worse things possible causing both her to break and Asher not knowing what to do. It’s Sean who really surprised me as he picked up the lead role and lead both him and Sara Off to find the missing Eden members.
Though I’ve come to love Fi and Asher and the rest I know this book had a great ending that made me happy. I just hope this world never happens I would like to think we can continue living in a world where the food we eat doesn’t lead to disease. I’m diffidently going to read more from this author.

Summary
High-school student Subaru wouldn’t reject a sexual favor, but dating is out of the question when he’s not in love. Stumbling upon a beautiful painting in school, he knows he’s found his first love – the artist behind the work. But winning the heart of his love interest isn’t going to be easy, particularly with his promiscuous lifestyle…

Review
I actually really enjoyed this manga, it was the right mixture of both remeberable characters and great story line. Subaru is a bit of a slut thought that's the only thing I don't like about this book but he changes at least. I wish there was more but sometimes good stories comes in one volumes.

I like how Subaru could understand Nagayama paintings, even when no one else could. It just shows how much Subaru fell in love with Nagayama. Though Nagayama reaction to Subaru was quite and distance but soon Subaru brought out his voice more and more, until he fell in love with Subaru as well. Nagayama reminds me so much of myself in the fact that when I sometimes draw, I draw my true feelings and you will know if I'm happy, sad or Angry. So I like Nagayama a lot in this manga.

It's a great love story and a bit heavy on the sexual content so it's diffidently not for everyone. Though if you like a good cute story with sex in it I do recommend this book. It will draw you in right away from start to finish.

Design

The black hair boy is Nagayama and Subaru is the light hair boy. As you can see two totally different characters. None of the characters in this manga look the same. Not only that but the style isn't all that bad either. I like this Mangaka style and how she draws every character different. Though some pages during the sexual parts are confusing but besides that perfect.

Summary
Konoe, a high school student, is confused about his sexuality. He meets Hikaru in the sleazy gay district, and sleeps with him. They begin to play at being lovers, but Konoe's heart belongs to Atori, his friend and classmate. Can Konoe come to terms with his sexuality and reveal his feelings to Atori, and where do Hikaru's true feelings lie?

Review
I actually read this manga once before a long time ago. I knew I liked it but I didn't remember what happened so I decided to pick it up and read it once more. I'm glad I reread it, this manga is full of drama and has a great story and characters that make the story just as interesting.

Not once was I bored with this story, reading it from beginning to end it was great. The story centers around the characters Konoe, Hikaru, Atori and Tooru. They all have different personality's and you will fall in love with them right away. This story will even leave you guessing on who is going to end up with who.

The romance is slow, building up to where the couples start to fall in love. Sure the sex comes a bit fast but the falling in love part takes tome so it's not insta-love which is another thing on what I like about this manga.

Design
It's a bit of an old manga so the style is out there but even if the style isn't to your liking the story makes up for it big time. The characters all look different except for maybe one or two but you will pick them apart fast. The mangaka doesn't put a lot of detail into her characters or scenes so again it's mostly for the story that I like this manga. I'm also sure that I've read a few of her other manga's and I liked them just as much as this one.

Release Date:
May 15, 2013
Pages:
197
Genre:
  Paranormal, New Adult
Series: The Danaan Trilogy #1

Summary
Allison O'Malley's plan is to go to grad school so she can get a good job and take care of her schizophrenic mother. She has carefully closed herself off from everything else, including a relationship with Ethan, who she's been in love with for as long as she can remember.

What is definitely not part of the plan is the return of her long-lost father, who claims he can bring Allison's mother back from the dark place her mind has gone. Allison doesn't trust her father, so why would she believe his stories about a long forgotten Irish people, the Tuatha de Danaan? But truths have a way of revealing themselves. Secrets will eventually surface. And Allison must learn to set aside her plan and work with her father if there is even a small chance it could restore her mother's sanity.

Author's Favorite Quotes in The Forgotten Ones
Part One
By Laura Howard

At that moment, it wasn’t hard to believe that my mother was the happy, carefree girl everyone claimed she was before I was born.

- Allison feels a tremendous amount of guilt for being the cause of her mother’s schizophrenia. It’s always at the front of her thoughts.

“Mom,” I whispered, but she didn’t move. “Mom, please look at me,” I tried again, sitting down on the seat beside her. She turned to face me then. Tears lined her cheeks like silver rivers down her moonlit face.

- During the editing phase of this book, I really wanted to learn how to use imagery successfully. My editor was amazing at asking me questions so that I could put together my own similes and metaphors.

“Oh, I think I understand perfectly. You knocked my mother up and sent her back to the US, and now…what? You’re in the neighborhood so you thought you’d drop by to say hello?”

-Allison’s character is very dry. Some people don’t connect with her because of that, but I found that when she was angry her personality really shone through.

Things like schizophrenic mothers, reappearing fathers, and boys with dimples didn’t exist when I ran. All I felt was the wind and my heartbeat, my feet carrying me along. And the less I felt right then, the better.

-I liked her running scenes because even though she used them as an escape from reality,   she was able to clear her mind.

Author
Laura Howard lives in New Hampshire with her husband and four children. Her  obsession with books began at the age of 6 when she got her first library card. Nancy Drew, Sweet Valley High and other girly novels were routinely devoured in single sittings. Books took a backseat to diapers when she had her first child. It wasn’t until the release of a little novel called Twilight, 8 years later, that she rediscovered her love of fiction. Soon after, her own characters began to make themselves known. The Forgotten Ones is her first published novel.

Cover Reveal! Incarnate 3 Infinite

Oh my god, I've been waiting for a while now to see what the last book is going to look like for this series. I didn't have to wait to long though here is the book cover!
DESTRUCTION
The Year of Souls begins with an earthquake—an alarming rumble from deep within the earth—and it’s only the first of greater dangers to come. The Range caldera is preparing to erupt. Ana knows that as Soul Night approaches, everything near Heart will be at risk.

FLIGHT
Ana’s exile is frightening, but it may also be fortuitous, especially if she can convince her friends to flee Heart and Range with her. They’ll go north, seeking answers and allies to stop Janan’s ascension. And with any luck, the newsouls will be safe from harm’s reach.

CHOICE
The oldsouls might have forgotten the choice they made to give themselves limitless lifetimes, but Ana knows the true cost of reincarnation. What she doesn’t know is whether she’ll have the chance to finish this one sweet life with Sam, especially if she returns to Heart to stop Janan once and for all.

With gorgeous romance and thrilling action, the final book in the Incarnate trilogy offers a brilliant conclusion to the compelling questions of this fascinating world, where one new girl is the key to the lives of millions.
