Review
I actually did enjoy this short manga, I didn't mind how short it was or the way it ending. Thought it would have been amazing if there was more I don't care so much. Family drama in manga always amuses me and this was funny at times and sad. If you like shojo manga give this manga a try though you might be mad at how it ends.

The plot centers around a girl trying to get her brothers under control. Which doesn't really happen because of their weird personality's. During this she over hears a shocking news that changes her feelings about her family. No incest happens in this manga but the secret makes you diffenitly wish for more of this manga. I didn't love this manga to death to care either way.

Each character is different no one has the same personality or same looks. If i had to choose Masaki is my favorite because of his personalty is close to that of a bad boy.

As for character designs here are the characters. On the right side you can see all the brothers and there different personality. The author took the time to make sure each brother was different. Making you see the different drawing styles the author can do. On the left side I just thought the picture was hot and I had to post it.

Chapter 15

“Melissa is not a skank,” he retorted. “Unlike some people I could mention.”

The words slid into Brooke’s heart like a hot knife going through butter, straight and sure and devastating. The pain shocked her, even though she knew it shouldn’t. She’d known Seth resented her for giving it up to someone else, and hadn’t he been avoiding her like the plague? But somehow, she’d been unprepared for it. The armor she’d been building around her heart should have provided more protection. Guess she’d have to work on that. Starting now.

“Unlike me, you mean?” Brooke smiled, letting it cover the hurt. “Well, that’s okay. I seem to remember you liking my skankiness just fine.” She stepped forward and laid a hand on his chest, and was rewarded by how hard his heart pounded. “Come on, admit it, Seth. You liked what we did together.” The words were bitter in her mouth. “You want to do it again.”

I don’t remember dying. 

“Stand back. Clear!”

Nothing. A feeling of floating, weightlessness.

“Oh, please, please, baby.” My mother’s voice, sounding uncharacteristically hysterical.

“Clear!” A spreading, burning under my ribcage. Followed by a surging river of heat to my heart. It stutters, rumbling like a kettledrum inside my ribs, and up into my skull.

“Come on, Mia.” My father, unglued.

The steady beep-beep-beep of a monitor and the whooshing of a respirator. My chest rises up and down without my permission, a puppet to the machine. A rushing sound, like water filling a vacuum, clogs my ears. My new heart, my new heart, accelerates, beating so fast, it feels as if it will take flight from my newly stapled sternum.

A dull, muted pain aches through my chest; which will, no doubt, intensify when the drugs wear off.

“Too fast.” The monitor is screaming, wailing like a kid’s tantrum.

Two choked sobs. Mom... and Beth.

Beth is here, how wonderful. I try to move my fingers, to tell her I’m okay. Don’t cry.

My brain says lift, but all I got was—“Her fingers twitched. I saw them.” Beth’s voice, relieved and oh-so scared.

My heart thrums, finally steady and even. It feels strange, too far back in my chest. Like an ill-fitting shirt. I raise my hands to try to scratch it, adjust it.

“Mia? Mia, can you hear me? We’re all here, darling. Dad and Beth, and Claire is outside.”

I feel the tube down my throat, choking me. I suck in for air, but my chest rises on its own, interfering with my breathing. I feel like I’m suffocating, despite the oxygen shoved up my nostrils.

“She’s trying to breathe on her own. We need to adjust the respirator. Easy, Mia.” Dr. Starzel, my own personal medical savior.

Two unfamiliar, whispering, conspiratorial voices, “I can’t believe they found a donor, just in time.”

“The report said it was a homeless girl. She was murdered.”

“For heaven’s sake! She may be able to hear you. One more word and I’ll have both of your babbling traps fired.” My father chastises the women, whom I guess to be nurses, by the soft squeaks of their retreating Crocs.

I have a murder victim’s heart? Worry tickles the back of my brain. How did they find a donor? How—I’m struck with pain so blinding, I feel my brain shrivel inward. Like a cowering child. And hear nothing.

The weightless feeling is back.

I feel the burning rush of something shoot into my IV. It’s liquid fire.

I trace its path up my arm, into my brain, addling it. But relief is the trade-off. The pain backs off.

Thump-thump. Thump-thump. It is the only sound I hear, for what seems a very long time...

Smallvillie season 11 Vol 1 Comic Book Review

Review

Wow a Smallvillie comic book, I never hough I would see that but here it is. It’s alright for a first issue. A bit confusing (since they added random short comic’s in it…) This comic takes place right after the last season of smallvillie. (so yeah I gotta watch the show again sometime soon).

So starts off as any super hero comic book, superman saves people from a space station. He’s still with Lois Lane and Chloe Sullivan-Queen is with Oliver Queen(aka Green Arrow, no has nothing to do with the new Green arrow tv show). Not much really to say about the plot since it’s a short comic. Though it’s surprising to see Lex Luther back in the comic, then again I’m pretty sure he came back in the tv show and yes he still hates Clark Kent.

Whether I continue to read this comic book or not is still unknown, since I don’t know what I think of it yet.

Artwork

Very well drawn comic, details in both the characters and backgrounds. Nothing is lazy drawn and the characters look like there tv verisons (Except Chloe I had no idea that was her at first). Louis lane looks fine and so does Clark, Olive and Lex.I did wish they had the real comic book cover on google but the don't sadly.

Open Air Manga Review

Summary
To break from the monotonous summer holidays, Okunuki decides on a spur of the moment to visit his senpai’s farm. There, he meets his senpai’s son, Iku. However on the same day, his senpai collapses from fatigue and Okunuki steps in to help– partly because he’s intrigued by Iku. With this opportunity, Okunuki begins to care for Iku and Iku also starts to let his guard down…

Review

This was actually a really cute story and doesn’t end how you think it will. For Okunuki (our main charcter) to fall in love with a straight man it’s always hard. Not to mention that the man is so slow at picking up people’s feelings that he doesn’t notice that Okunuki loves him. I wanted to smack the guy for not noticing but then you notice the son and you forget all about the straight man and you cheer for the younger man Iku and Okunuki to be together.

The setting takes place on a farm and of corse many happenings occur around the farm.

Okunuki is only just visiting his old friend at the farm but decides to stay and help out when his friend gets hurt. That’s when he meets the son Iku and learns his history and how he doesn’t like to be touch. There is a few other problems but our main couple pulls through and ends up together. The friend not knowing anything marry’s the girl of his dreams and everyone is happy basically.

Cute story and I do recommend you read this story if your given the chance since it’s very cute.

The characters are mostly done in heavy black stokes but it does look great in the together look and feel of the manga. There is plenty of detail put into the the backgrounds of the manga and some detail put into the actual people.
