Summary
My mother once told me life is a lot like a card game.
She said you can either accept the hand you have been dealt, or you can create a new play, make your own rules, and win the game one card at a time.

I loved my mother with all my heart. She’s gone now. He took both my parents away from me. I’m talking about the Angel of Chaos, the one who plans to destroy both the human world and mine.

I can’t let that happen. He and the ones who serve him have already taken so much from me. I do believe it’s time for a little payback. I will have the final say. With my lover by my side, I can conquer anything.

I will turn the game around...and win.

For I am the assassin; and revenge will be my rose.

**This story contains sexual situations and mature language. It is intended for an audience at 17+ years of age.**

Review

I love learning more and more about the culture of where Faris, Seth, Desi and others from the Lost Immortals series. It’s so different almost medieval like in how only men are allowed to fight. What made me wonder though is what exactly does the dancing the girls learn to do is for. Boys are the warriors while the girls are the dancers.

What I enjoyed most though was seeing a lot of Seth and learning what happen between him and Desi. I learned about her past, I always wondered about her character and this book answers all questions about her and why she hates Seth in the Lost Immortal series.

We get to see more of Seth and his bad boy self. He's as secretive as ever and even though he warned Desi not to fall for him, she did so anyways. Seth is so manipulative, yes it's bad what he did to Desi but I believe there is a reason for it.
I’m happy to be able to read this novella because I just love this series, I can’t wait to read more!

About the Author:

Author of the Bestselling Lost Immortals Saga and the International Bestseller the Prelude. I’m also a mother, blogger, reader, gardener, home renovator, and a slayer of undead Egyptian mummies in Tomb Raider. I believe in karma, coffee, and seriously wish that the producers of Xena would bring my favorite show ever back.

I was born in the race-car city of Charlotte, NC, and now live in the City of Alchemy and Medicine, NC. Most of my characters are based on people that I’ve met throughout my travels and adventures. People tend to stop and start conversations with me as if I’ve known them my entire life. Does this freak me out? Not really. My mom says that one day I’ll get kidnapped by one of them. I told her that if it weren’t for these lovely people then I wouldn’t be able to create the stories that I do.

Some other common tidbits…hmm. I’ve watched the movie Under the Tuscan Sun almost 200 times. Seriously, the way I see it is if I keep watching it enough, then suddenly the house that Diane Lane lives in will magically appear in my backyard. I know. I have a huge imagination!

Summary
Kaya Satozuka is a brilliant secretary who excels at her job, which is why she doesn’t bat an eye when she’s assigned to be personal secretary to Kyohei Touma, the very difficult managing director of Touma Foods. It doesn’t faze her when her new boss seems determined to make her fail, and she even manages to take it in stride when she discovers the secret behind his prickly behavior…he’s a vampire! But while Kaya easily adapts to late nights and keeping a schedule of his “dinner dates,” will her ultra-competence help when Kyohei’s smoldering gaze starts turning her way?!

Review
This manga became a real shocker when I saw it in the catalog my dad gets because of how he runs a comic book store. This manga was one of my high favorites and I’ve read almost everything from this manga artist. She enjoys writing about supernatural characters from Witches to werewolves to ever Vampires which is what this manga is about. No not your normal vampires but a hot sexy vampire who is a boss and will threaten his secatary in keeping his secret.
Volume one has been interesting so far in my rereading of this manga. Kaya has learn her boss true identity. Plus Kyohei may seem ruthless towards people and even to her but he does show a soft spot which you see quite a few times.

Kaya Satozuka will do anything to hide how she truelly looks like. From biding her hair up to wearing fake glasses. She just wants people to look at her and think that she fits the job as a secetary. She never thought that she would be a secretary to a vampire. Spying on her boss leads her to learn of what he is and being brave she tries to learn how to propally take care of him. Which is what I like about her, she didn't run away but stood her ground to keep her job. She is not a one dimentional character and she has a lot to learn about Vampires which I'm excited to read in the up coming volumes.

Summary

Sixteen-year-old Riley Meemick is one of the world's last free girls. When Riley was born, her mother escaped the Breeders, the group of doctors using cruel experiments to bolster the dwindling human race. Her parents do everything possible to keep her from their clutches-- moving from one desolate farm after another to escape the Breeders' long reach. The Breeders control everything- the local war lords, the remaining factories, the fuel. They have unchecked power in this lawless society. And they're hunting Riley.

When the local Sheriff abducts the adult members of her family and hands her mother over to the Breeders, Riley and her eight-year-old brother, Ethan, hiding in a shelter, are left to starve. Then Clay arrives, the handsome gunslinger who seems determined to help to make up for past sins. The problem is Clay thinks Riley is a bender-- a genderless mutation, neither male nor female. As Riley's affection for Clay grows she wonders can she trust Clay with her secret and risk her freedom?

The three embark on a journey across the scarred remains of New Mexico-- escaping the Riders who use human sacrifice to appease their Good Mother, various men scrambling for luck, and a deranged lone survivor of a plague. When Riley is shot and forced into the Breeder's hospital, she learns the horrible fate of her mother—a fate she'll share unless she can find a way out.

Review
Just amazing, from beganning to end I couldn't put this book down. I was drawn in by the characters and the story line. Though it's a sad dystopian world I still liked it. If you liked the Wither series then for you will enjoy this book by Katie French. In my opinion I found it much better then Wither.

The plot is great, having women be rare is a tough thing but I'm glad we don't have a weak heroin. This story center's around Rylie who has to save her mom but has to keep the fact that she's a girl hidden from everyone. The world they live in isn't great, there are more men then women and the women are captured and is kept in a place to be breeders(as you can see by the title). Rylie gets help from Clay a boy from the town her family lived close too. There is lots of up hills and down hills their journey takes them but it all turns out alright in the end.

Rylie isn't your normal main character, she grows into herself. She goes from being a girl who hides who she is to someone strong and doesn't take crap from no one when it comes to her finding her family. Clay is a good man, he helps Rylie the best he can, seeing as what his father has done to Rylie's family. He gains her trust and over comes his daddy issues to be on the right side and that's Rylie's side. I love his character and I love how much he works to gain Rylie's trust. Ethan is a smart boy for his age and strong too. He knows his world is a tough one but he stands by Rylie's side to save their mom.

Great story and plot I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good dystopian novel.

Review (To be edited soon)

-->
I’ve never thought I would be looking forward to the ending to a series as much as this one. This dystopian novel drew me in from the start with it’s believable story of how a world changed by just having a few changes done to food we grow.
This book picks up where the last book took off, where Fi, Asher, Sean and Sarah are getting back to Eden. This time they find out something is wrong and the Truthers are behind it.  I never thought I would hate a bad group of people as much as I do with the Truthers. They cause so much trouble for Fi and the gang that the ending is everything you hope to read. What surprised me the most of the plot was the help they got from lots of people. Not just the normal people they talk to on the walkie talkies but people they’ve never seen before. Plus a man who we first saw in the first book but never thought to see him again. Not to mention a five years later part will leave us all happy for Asher.
Fi has always been strong from Eden’s Root to Seeds of War, but in the newest and last book of this series we see a new side of her. Might be because she’s pregnant, but it doesn’t slow her down.  Until they reach Eden then all hell breaks lose and it looks like Fi is at her weakest point we have ever seen her. She can only think of the worse things possible causing both her to break and Asher not knowing what to do. It’s Sean who really surprised me as he picked up the lead role and lead both him and Sara Off to find the missing Eden members.
Though I’ve come to love Fi and Asher and the rest I know this book had a great ending that made me happy. I just hope this world never happens I would like to think we can continue living in a world where the food we eat doesn’t lead to disease. I’m diffidently going to read more from this author.

Summary
High-school student Subaru wouldn’t reject a sexual favor, but dating is out of the question when he’s not in love. Stumbling upon a beautiful painting in school, he knows he’s found his first love – the artist behind the work. But winning the heart of his love interest isn’t going to be easy, particularly with his promiscuous lifestyle…

Review
I actually really enjoyed this manga, it was the right mixture of both remeberable characters and great story line. Subaru is a bit of a slut thought that's the only thing I don't like about this book but he changes at least. I wish there was more but sometimes good stories comes in one volumes.

I like how Subaru could understand Nagayama paintings, even when no one else could. It just shows how much Subaru fell in love with Nagayama. Though Nagayama reaction to Subaru was quite and distance but soon Subaru brought out his voice more and more, until he fell in love with Subaru as well. Nagayama reminds me so much of myself in the fact that when I sometimes draw, I draw my true feelings and you will know if I'm happy, sad or Angry. So I like Nagayama a lot in this manga.

It's a great love story and a bit heavy on the sexual content so it's diffidently not for everyone. Though if you like a good cute story with sex in it I do recommend this book. It will draw you in right away from start to finish.

Design

The black hair boy is Nagayama and Subaru is the light hair boy. As you can see two totally different characters. None of the characters in this manga look the same. Not only that but the style isn't all that bad either. I like this Mangaka style and how she draws every character different. Though some pages during the sexual parts are confusing but besides that perfect.
